Is this temporary or permanent change of equipment from Boeing 777 to Airbus A310-300?

In recent years, we've seen equipment on some routes changed from B777 to A310 when some PIA B777 aircraft (usually two or three Boeing 777-200ER) take part in Hajj flight operations.

Bw, how are passenger loads on Karachi-London-Karachi sector? I think PIA in its attempt to attract passengers travelling between Karachi and London faces tough competition from some of the world class Gulf airlines.

Its because of Hajj Operation! All PK 787's and 788's, i mean the one that originates from Lahore too are operated by A310 nowadays! Its because shortage of B777's! Once the Hajj Operation is over again B777 will be operating this sector.

it is because of hajj operation, good time for spotter to take load of PK A310 pictures. paxs load is good for A310.

One such flight I reported for september. On the other hand two flights are most probably is or was via Lahore/Islamabad. So what turmoil is PIA in!

I had booked on PK788 for LHE from LHR some time ago whilst they were supposed to be with 777. We are due to on this Wednesday. Feel gutted after finding out about the switch considering, I am flying with 3 kids and 777's IFE and games could have kept them entertained. Also it has mucked up the seats that we had selected
The big issue that I have with A310's is the use of overhead TV and sometimes, the movies that they play on those TVs( The last onethat they had, and I complaint about had a scene that I would not watch, or atleast not with the family!!). Have they got individual IFEs or still not?
Currently all the flights to and Pakistan are almost full especially Karachi and Lahore ones, so why not plan in advance and have bigger birds on during these busy days?
