heres what i would like to see done in Pakistan aviation:
the New islamabad airport should have US immigration staffed by (pakistani -americans) just like they do in Europe this way PIA can offer flights nonstop to NYC and Pakistan gets latest technology on security and training
downgrade the peshawar airport to regional airport or only allow Pakistani carreirs to fly to the gulf
shift all slots of peshawar of foreign carriers to islamabad
let Shaheen and Airblue take over the domestic market
PIA should only have long haul flighst from ISB
the purpose of these suggestions is to make the new ISB a real hub
BA and Alitalia tried the 2-3 hubs style but failed in the end PIA should make the new islamabad airport a real hub
and karachi is now having 5 daily flights from EK which is crazy for PIA so its a lost cause there
My 2 cents of Pak aviation

I agree on making ISB the new hub. This would take some political pressure off regarding overloaded induction of sifarshees in PIA. Moreover, ISB as hub will serve much more effectively than KHI since it would be accessible easily to people in KPK, and even Lahore

what?!..no way to downgrade PEW???...
in fact they should enhance this airport, I travel alot to PEW and I wouldn't want to travel to ISB from England then travel all the way down to Peshawar
I dont have much knowledge, but i wouldn't want this

the new airport is right next to motorway so u could use the motorway to peshawar...much faster than current islamabad airport plus if people are coming to pakistan they should see first and last a nice new airport not the warehouse that is PEW

Downgrading Peshawar Airport or preventing foreign airlines from operating flights at Peshawar Airport is a negative suggestion in my opinion and I think CAA people are sensible enough not to make such move.
Peshawar Airport and people using Peshawar Airport have the right to be served by leading top quality world airlines like Emirates and Qatar Airways. Uninterrupted operation of international flights at Peshawar Airport will also help in generating revenue that can be used for modernization of the airport.

Don't agree with many of your suggestions. If you want ISB to be the hub, then offer better facilities and services, reduce landing fee, etc.
Let the passengers/airlines choose which one they want to go to. You do not force something to become a hub. Lots of people prefer landing close to their destination rather than having to keep on changing from one form of transport to another.
Adding US personnel...hmmm could be politically not a good move and also rather costly. In Europe, there are dozens of flights per day to US, to justify the cost. What about pakistan? Who's gonna pay their hefty salaries (in USD I may add)?
And why would PIA let go of the domestic flights?
