342 seats??? is it not a little crampy. Typical seating is 2 class 295 and 3-class 267. Can someone throw some more light?
That is in a typical three class configuration. That is what Wikipedia states:
The A340-300 flies 295 passengers in a typical
three-class cabin layout (
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Airbus_A340#A340-300).
If you read upon this forum, they discuss the real maximum seating capacity
http://www.airline-empires.com/index.ph ... -capacity/A bit more from Airbus.com
The A340-300 seats 295 passengers in a typical three-class cabin configuration, while a two-class layout comfortably accommodates as many as 335 travellers.malpensa26 wrote:
the seats are very dirty looking.. will Airblue renovate the seats? if its a night flight from islamabad most will be sleeping but they should get AVOD inseats for better service
Yes indeed the seat cover is looking a bit dirty. I hope AirBlue will invest in new blue seatcovers? About AVOD they confirmed on their Facebook page that they will continue their policy of Ipads on these aircrafts.

the arrival of these a343 is the most exciting forthcoming event- overshadowing shaheen's induction of b734.
hope to see more late 1990s-2000s aircrafts instead of scrap b732 being inducted.
manchester was expected.i guess 1 will be used for domestic peak hours now that bhoja air will never recover.
to be able to fill 342 seats on all routes is quite worrying.
Thats actually what i am thinking of too, beside the UK market, and some domestic routes, where will they be able to fill up their routes?
Will they be doing like PIA flying to two cities before heading to Pakistan. Example PIA flies first to CPH and then to OSL before heading to LHE to get more pax.

Airblue will operate A340-300 to Manchester direct from Islamabad on Sunday the 16th of September:)..http://www.plane-mad.com/movements/manchester-airport/ Great find, this confirms that they will not use a lot of time between acquiring the plane and setting in to scheduled passenger traffic.
