AirBlue Airbus A340-313X (AP-EDF) seen parked at Allama Iqbal International Air Port (AIIAP), Lahore, on the morning of October 6, 2012. Note air intake of engines protected by red colour covers.

Other aircraft seen in this photo are Nas Air Airbus A320 taxiing for departure as flight XY-721 to Riyadh and Midwest Airlines Boeing 737-8Q8 (SU-MWF) getting ready to operate Shaheen Air flight NL-768 to Muscat.

Abbas,

when this A340 will be brought into operations. Does it take so much to an airline to complete all formalities???

^ I think only AirBlue can answer that query.

Shaheen Air Airbus A330 (AP-BKM) arrived in Karachi on July 27 and and operated its first revenue flight for the airline twenty days later on August 15.

AirBlue A340 arrived in Pakistan on September 29.

In recent times PIA aircraft have been introduced on revenue flights within hours or few days after delivery.

Usually in case of new aircraft inductions (from manufacturer) the regulatory body is involved in the process from the very begining revenue operations start soon after eintry into service. One airline I know, the aircraft lands at home base on delivery flight, goes to maintenance, where cabin amenities are placed on board and here it goes.....
Perhapes for these used airliners, CAA must be going through scrutiny of technical documents before issuing C of A?

A friend of mine also saw an AirBue Airbus A340 parked at Hajj Terminal of Lahore Airport on November 25.

But, he says that was the only AirBlue A340 visible to his eyes. Probably AP-EDF now temporarily parked at Hajj Terminal?
