The three CAA aircraft (AP-CAA, AP-CAB & AP-CAC) mentioned in this tender notice are used for airfield calibration not only in Pakistan but also in various countries of the region including Bangladesh, Bhutan, Sri Lanka and United Arab Emirates thus generating revenue for CAA.

Here are photos of these three aircraft.

I fail to understand the logic behind having three caliberation aircraft. With none of the country's airports' rwys having ILS on both end, no Windhsear detection systems and pathetic state of ATS infrastructure, CAA is focussed on Navaid caliberation alone?

Saudi Arabia (for sure), UAE, Burma, Bangladesh and Srilanka are the few countries I heard these calibration aircraft flies to, to do their calibration on Nav Aids.
