News on TV regarding a private airliner on ISB-KHI sector bursting two of its tyres on landing. Is it Airblue?

APRIL 22 - According to local news channels, a Shaheen Air aircraft operating flight NL-122 from Islamabad burst its two tyres during landing at Karachi Airport today.

Some news channels claim that aircraft stopped partially off the runway (veered off runway). Passengers are getting disembarked on runway.

The aircraft was carrying around 150 passengers. It's one of Boeing 737-400 aircraft (AP-BJN or AP-BJU) acquired recently by Shaheen Air.

Fire tenders are spraying foam on port side engine/wing of the aircraft.

Aircraft blew left-side tyre(s) during landing.

Shaheen Air Boeing 737-400 surrounded by fire tenders at Karachi Airport. It seems port-side wing has touched ground or is nearly touching ground. I hope the aircraft has not suffered any serious structural damage.

According to Geo News reporter, passengers are still onboard the aircraft.

Airport's runway is closed.

Runway will be re-opened by 5:00PM after removal of the aircraft. Probably it's Runway 07R/25L.

And it seems Shaheen Air Boeing 737-400 made landing on Runway 25L.

Most likely it's Boeing 737-4H6 (AP-BJN) because according to statement of Chairman Shaheen Air Khalid Sehbai, the aircraft was inducted in Shaheen Air fleet two months ago after undergoing tests in USA. AP-BJN joined Shaheen Air fleet in February this year.

A number of Karachi-bound flights have been diverted to Nawabshah Airport, according to a news channel.

Smaller aircraft like PIA ATR 42-500 are operating flights from Runway 07L/25R.

Departure/arrival of big jets flights has been delayed due to closure of Runway 07R/25L.

A PIA Airbus A310-300 flight from Lahore to Karachi and an AirBlue Airbus A319 flight from Islamabad to Karachi have been diverted to Nawabshah Airport.

Both Shaheen and Bhoja Air should be banned by CAA immediately until all their aircrafts are checked and certified for Airworthiness

From latest images aired on news channels, it seems port-side (left side) main landing gear of Shaheen Air Boeing 737-400 collapsed during landing roll on runway.

Apparently aircraft stopped on runway (did not veer off the runway) and passengers disembarked through mobile stair case as seen in following images.

The aircraft was carrying 172 passengers and 6 crew members. No one hurt in this incident.

Reopening of runway may take two more hours, according to news channels. Runway re-opening expected at 7:0PM local time.

Following image from Nawabshah Airport shows PIA Airbus A310-300 flight PK-303 from Lahore to Karachi and an AirBlue Airbus A319-100 (AP-BIE or AP-BIF) flight ED-201 from Islamabad to Karachi that have been diverted to Nawabshah Airport.
