Since last evening one of Airblue's A319 is tech at DXB airport i.e. parked at remote bay C21. Flight which was bound for LHE has been delayed until further notice. With only a handful of aircraft and one aircraft AOG this will severely disrupt Airblue's flight schedule

^ my dear brother, just because an aircraft has been parked up due to a tech doesn't make it a third-class airline. At Heathrow airport the American Airlines' 772 has been there for almost 6 days now, and that is due to a suspected engine failure soon after push back. And yet they're one of the best airlines in the world.

my comment not related to the plane having technical problem, rather related to the size of their fleet and their tall claims.

@Capt_747 How many AA's passengers are stranded at Heathrow? Again it is not about a plane getting technical, it is how you deal with it is the matter. I have first hand experience and am not impressed one bit.

Technicals, late arrival of the inbound flight, cancellations etc happen to ALL airlines from times to times - regardless of number of aircraft the airline has. It is not just how the airline reacts but also the passengers.

I have seen delayed, cancelled flights for many airlines and yes you get some angry pax but on the Pakistani airlines, our fellow country men and women feel that if they start shouting, swearing and using threatening behaviour this will assist with the aircraft taking off quicker.

If an airline has an aircraft that goes technical then it will take some time to get another aircraft to operate that route if required. Some airlines will do this quicker than others but it does take time to despatch another aircraft or carry out repairs. AirBlues flight from DBX-LHE departed at 10:40 am today instead of 3:30pm yesterday. I am sure passengers were looked after. Yes due to Airblue's fleet number this will and has delayed other flights but then this is to expected. Just because of this incident, which affects ALL airlines from time to time doesn't mean that they are not fastest growing airline or they can be slated.

It's amazing how people react because of one incident which occurs beyond the airlines control. Lets get real and live with the fact that from time to time things do not go to plan and schedule in ALL parts and walks of life and air travel is no exception!

@adamalikhan I second your comments. When I use to work at Heathrow, I'd seen delays of upto 23 hours in some extreme cases. Although the pax were looked after i.e hotel accommodations and food vouchers etc yet passengers weren't happy. AirBlue is a new born but if were to compare it with the likes of PIA then I am sure the standards are far higher than PIA or any other airline in the region, but with the exception of few.
