Is IT not time the PPP Govt tried to save PIA instead of engulfing it in further problems and ensuring the demise of our once an icon.
If nothing else do they not at least think about the if this airline keeps on limping and is left to fly asia and Internal what are they going to do with all the employees. Or is each Minister going to have a fleet of ex PIA as his personal bodyguards. Or do they really believe they can blame the world for there own shortcommings and miss adventures cry discrimination and say this happened because we did not buy Airbus? What will happen if the remainder CAA's and FAA follow suit to SAFA?
Taking Rao into PIA is a move cheating him out of the position he should be in that is Secretary Defence and Mr Zardari's girl who needs to be sent home sorting out the house choirs, or maybe Z should have two spokespersons, The strategy behind moving Rao into MD PIA is a dirty one and he will be covered in blame and mud because he does not know what needs to be done as this is Civil Aviation not Military and all his vast experience cannot be used in PIA.
Look at the ex MD Yousaf Zai drawing salary as pilot PIA when he was head of CAA and drawing salary as HEAD OF CAA. In PIA drew both salaries MD and pilot and now back in CAA drawing salaries again as CAA head and PILOT PIA. Now can he regulate PIA and other airlines? CAA has also become a joke like the Govt of PPP.
When will Zaradari and his parrot PM Gilani get the right man for the right job, when will they stop playing with the lives of people and their livelihoods.
Is it not time for PIA employees to get up and rise to the occasion or will they get up after banning has become a reality?
They will get up when the salaries cannot be paid, if so then PIA employees deserve what is happening as when and if this Govt go the employees still have thier families to support and what do you think will be left of PIA. Bankruptcy or Ban which is the first...to happen....... If one wishes to save PIA its employees need to look at the bigger picture!
