Chances of a A380 flight into Pakistan are next to NILL, don't have the traffic for Emirates or Etihad to fly such a short hopp to their own hubs.
Doesn't EK have the traffic to/from KHI for one daily A380? :-k
Concerning the length of the flight EK already serves Dubai-Kuwait-Dubai Route with one daily A380 check for EK857/EK858 - Flight duration is usually around 1.5h

Anyhow as long as the Airport it self is not able to handle the A380 (ground handling equipment/vehicles, gates, taxiways, runway, etc) it will not become reality in near future.

Yes and KHI is 2 hours long.

Also emirates dropped from 6 flights to 5 recently. All 777.

I think emirates will likely add another 777 flight in the future to meet demand instead of an a380. My passengers prefer various flights in a day rather than 3 a380 flights and then wait hours for their connection from dubai.

the jetway bridges are being installed in horizontal position/side by side to accommodate L1 & L2 doors of jetliners; if the jetway bridges are installed in vertical position then one can say the possibility of A380 ops to connect the upper and main deck which is not the case here :!:

Even though we are in October, the international terminal still is using the old bridges and on domestic, I'm not sure what the status is. Anyone knows what is the delay in installation?

A380 can be parked at remote stand and catered to by vehicles handling 747s and An 124, Emirates are interested in flying it here, they dont have enough routes for them and are desperate to have them operate as many routes as possible according to pprune forums.

^ Nice find and yes that must be the supplier/manufacturer of airport's original jet bridges.

Here's ADELTE press release from last year:
Barcelona, 25 of May 2015 – ADELTE recently signed a contract with the Pakistan Civil Aviation Authority (PCAA) to improve boarding operations at Jinnah International Airport, Pakistan’s largest international and domestic airport, ,next to the city of Karachi.

The contract includes the dismantling & disposal of the 12 old PBBs and the design, manufacture and installation of 18 new electromechanical glass-sided Apron Drive models, along with 12 walkways and 30 rooftops also designed and manufactured by ADELTE.

To complete this gate solution, ADELTE will also deliver 12 innovative PCAs ZEPHIR (45T and 90T) of its GSE range.

The new Passenger Boarding Bridges and Ground Support Equipment will serve a wide range of aircraft, adapting perfectly to the current and future needs of airlines operating at Karachi and will offer maximum safety and comfort for over 16 million passengers traveling to/from Karachi annually.

Good to see rapid improvements in airports of Pakistan.

Since nawaz sharif came, lots of improvements being made. New planes being added, airports being built or refurbished, airlines forming.

Guys PIA suffered a lot under PPP.

We have to give credit where it is due, do we not? As we blame PPP under which PIA suffered tremendous loses, under PML PIA now enjoys a better performance and airports as well.
