Proabably, Boeing 737-800s on lease from Midwest Airlines or Boeing 737-400s being acquired by Shaheen Air will be used to operate Jeddah flights.

LHE-JED distance is less than 3700KM which a 737 Next Generation can easily do!

Just few months ago, Midwest Airlines Boeing 737-800s operated Shaheen Air Hajj non-stop flights between Lahore and Jeddah.

Distance Between Karachi and Jeddah is 2,867 kilometers
Distance Between Peshawar and Jeddah is 3,455 kilometers
Distance Between Islamabad and Jeddah is 3,591 kilometers
Distance Between Lahore and Jeddah is 3,650 kilometers

Source: distancebetween.net

Boeing 737-400 range with full load is 4,204 kilometers
Boeing 737-800 (with winglets) range with full load is 5,765 kilometers

So, Boeing 737-400 should also be able to operate all these flights.

Btw, Shaheen Air has plans to acquire at least two more Boeing 737-400s, according to a friend of mine.

I remember when Former President Musharraf was in Power, he used to take AP-BEH on official Tours, and one of his Destination onboard that 737-340 was Jed from Islamabad.....

B738s can fly LHE-IST nonstop as well with no payload issues.

Anyways can someone please reveal the frequencies of Shaheen Air to JED from each individual PAK city.

Thanks

If managed properly, i.e. with attractive fares and good service, Jeddah flights can become most profitable on international route network of Shaheen Air.

Good to see Shaheen moving from 737-200 to 737-400.

Maybe once all three 737-400s are in service, then Shaheen will return the 737-800s.

A 145 seater fuel efficient fleet, with lower lease rates could real give Shaheen the boost it needs to compete with Air Blue and PIA.

Karachi Airport website www.karachiairport.com.pk showing Shaheen Air flight NL-752 from Jeddah expected to land at Karachi Airport at 5:50PM.

Congrats to Shaheen Air for launching Jeddah flights.
