PIA’s Retired Workers Demand Rise in Pension
KARACHI: Former PIA Managing Director Arif Ali Khan Abbasi demanded raise in pension for retired PIA employees from current 32 percent to 50 percent as per rules. Addressing annual gathering of PIA Retired Employees Association (PIAREA), he said pension of retired employees also be increased every year in line with salary increase of regular ones according to admin order of airline.
President PIAREA Tahir Hassan offered all PIA retired employees were available for any service to make PIA come out of crisis. Secretary General of Association Younus Kakakhel vowed for foiling any conspiracy to ruin PIA.

PIAREA demands raise in pensions
JANUARY 27, 2012 - Pakistan International Airlines Retired Employees Association (PIAREA) has demanded a raise in the pensions of retired employees of the airline from the current 32 percent to 50 percent, "as per rules".
Speaking at the second annual gathering of the Association, President PIAREA, Tahir Hasan said that pensions of retired employees were required to be increased every year in line with the salary increase of regular employees according to the admin order of the airline.
According to him, all retired employees of PIA are available for any service to PIA to help the airline come out of its present crisis.
