Has Shaheen returned the leased aircrafts. My parents are going to visit Dubai and have booked Shaheen air tickets for LHE-DXB return trip. I heard that Shaheen used 738 on DXB route previously. I was wondering if they are still with Shaheen and being used for middle east routes?

The Midwest Airlines Boeing 737-800 (SU-MWE & SU-MWF) aircraft are still on lease to Shaheen Air.

In recent days, Shaheen Air has used these two leased Boeing 737-800s on a number of gulf routes including:

Lahore-Dubai-Lahore.
Lahore-Abu Dhabi-Lahore.
Lahore-Kuwait-Lahore.
Peshawar-Abu Dhabi-Peshawar.
Peshawar-Sharjah-Peshawar.
Islamabad-Abu Dhabi-Islamabad.

Information about recent flights operated by these aircraft for Shaheen Air including today and yesterday can be found on www.flightradar24.com.

If they are not returned, then they should be visible on flightradar24. Anyone seen them active there recently in the gulf region?

I hope these planes would give Shaheen Air some profits, carrie more passenger and burn less fuel so they might want to extend their lease. Its time that our airlines move out from the 732 make.

One of these two Midwest Airlines Boeing 737-800 aircraft was seen operating flight for Shaheen Air a couple of days ago by a friend of mine at Lahore Airport.

Btw, these two Boeing 737-800s registered in Egypt were acquired on lease between July and October last year by Shaheen Air, and, as far as I know, airlines in Pakistan cannot operate foreign registered passenger aircraft for more than three months under country's national aviation policy.

Seems, Shaheen Air has managed to get lease term for these two aircraft extended/renewed or has plans to get them registered in Pakistan ?

Any airline should be allowed to operate foreign registered aircraft for as long as they want, why only three months.

Its unnecessary government interferance for no reason.

What difference does it make to the government if the foreign registered aircraft operates for three months or three years.

Just bullshit red tape of CAA.

^^ This confirms that they are in active duty with SAI.

If SAI is going to lease them further it will be interesting to see 737-800 in Shaheen Air livery.

I personally hope so that SAI dont induct any more of 737-200 aircrafts in their fleet.

During Hajj flights season, Shaheen Air office at Lahore Airport had a banner promoting flights to Jeddah with artist's impression of Boeing 737-800 in fully livery of Shaheen Air, it looked nice.

Some pictures of both SU-MWE & SU-MWF.

I was told that SU-MWF condition wasn't good. However SU-MWE was very well maintained. Egyptian crew was also very friendly.

Did these aircraft have cabin crew of Shaheen Air or Midwest Airlines or combination of both ?

How was in-flight meal service and were these flights operated on time according to given schedule ?

It was a combination of both in first leg of trip i.e. a Pakistani air-hostess was also present. However on return leg it was all Egyptian crew.

In-flight meal service was so-so.

These flights were operated with a maximum delay of 30 min but the return trip was 2 hours and 20 min long.

Following is the picture of in-flight meal service.
