Etihad increases Lahore capacity eff 26Mar 2012

Dear All,

This is to inform you of a MONUMENTAL capacity increase of Etihad Airways into LHE-Lahore, Pakistan effective 26MAR 2012.

Currently, EY operates a daily A332 into LHE offering 3668 r/t weekly seats, however from 26MAR, EY has officially confirmed that all LHE flights are being upgraded to a Boeing 777-300ER offering 5768 r/t weekly seats i.e. an increase 2100 r/t seats per week aka +57% capacity increase.

I remember that EY used a combination of A320-A330-A340(-500 and -600)-B77W some months ago. I am not sure if they stuck with using on A332. However, still it is a sign of an increase in pax using Gulf Airlines and decline of PIA

Behramjee, how are EY's loads to LHE? I guess they must've been pretty good for them to upgrade from A332 to B773ER.
