Time table on official website of SriLankan Airlines shows daily service between Colombo and Karachi with Airbus A320 aircraft.

How's SriLankan Airlines maintaining daily service on this route? Probably better service, attractive fares or convenient connections to some Far East destinations from Colombo?

This airline might as well remove 'International' from its name because it seems to be heading in the direction of becoming a regional airline.

Both Maldives and Sri Lanka attracts hundreds of thousands of European and Far East tourist every year.

Had PIA done its homework, it could have gotten a piece of the Maldives and Sri Lanka tourist makret, and helped revive Karachi as a hub for European flights.

They are doing wonders with the only airport in the country, the major players are UL and EK only. Flight frequencies are not too many but with the opening of another airport in the country they are expected to do well.
its very sad that PIA is no more operating to CMB.

Yes I know I realized that later. It looks like they want to go the Kuwait Airways route, stagnant with no growth or ambition.
