The three aircraft (AP-CAA, AP-CAB & AP-CAC) mentioned in this tender notice are used for airfield calibration. These CAA airfield calibration aircraft are used not only in Pakistan but also in various countries of the region including Bangladesh, Bhutan, Sri Lanka and United Arab Emirates thus generating revenue for CAA.

Here are photos of these three aircraft.

Beech 200 Super King Air (registration AP-CAA)
Earlier, I thought this aircraft was put out of service after meeting an accident at Sharjah Airport, UAE, few years ago. But from this CAA tender notice it appears AP-CAA is active and in service with CAA.

Here's November 2004 photo of Pakistan CAA's Beech 200 Super King Air (AP-CAA) calibration aircraft taken at Sharjah Airport, UAE.

AP-CAB and AP-CAC are recent addition in Pakistan CAA inventory. These two brand new Beechcraft Super King Air B200 were acquired by CAA in 2008 for airfield calibration.

Here's photo of CAA's other Beechcraft Super King Air B200 registered as AP-CAB, photographed in 2008 at Karachi Airport by forum member Riz.

Following photo shows Pakistan Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) Beechcraft Super King Air B200 (AP-CAC) at Siem Reap-Angkor International Airport, Cambodia, on November 14, 2009. According to photo caption on airliners.net, AP-CAC was in Cambodia to perform airfield calibration work.

Btw, Pakistan flag on starboard side of AP-CAB and AP-CAC should have been painted in other direction. Flag protocol dictates that flag painted on airplane appear as if it's flying the way the wind would be blowing it when the airplane is moving forward.

For example, here's starboard side of PIA Boeing 777-340ER (AP-BHV) showing how Pakistan flag should be painted on starboard side of the aircraft.

Pakistan flag was painted correctly on starboard side of AP-CAA which can be seen in its photo.
