"A separate domestic terminal will be built at Lahore airport to deal with increasing passengers."
He also stated;
"Rawat Airport will be also built."

Re: Lahore Airport Expansion Project
Welcome back Pakistan 1..
This expansion plan will stay in papers only ...as far as i can seee because from the last 2 years they were unable to install Cat 3B which was dicussed 100 times but not implemented... Flights disruption is a must part of every winter...
Expansion approval might took a year and then new Govt will come up and this willl stay in Papers....

CAA tender notice in today's (September 23) newspaper for improvement, provision, renovation, replacement of existing signboards and main sign boards of "Allama Iqbal International" installed on terminal building air and land side at Allama Iqbal International Air Port (AIIAP) - Lahore.
Seems airport's main sign board "Allama Iqbal International" currently in brick red colour as seen in photo below will be in yellow colour like recently received by airports of Islamabad and Quetta.
Recently installed yellow signboards of airports of Islamabad and Quetta.
Islamabad Airport.
Quetta Airport.

Re: Lahore Airport Expansion Project
Why ? What's wrong with the red sign? It fits the design of the terminal. The yellow sign will be an eyesore for sure

Re: Lahore Airport Expansion Project
I dont think Lahore can accomodate regular A380 service with this expansion plan as this requires runway to be upgraded to F catagory, taxiways , boarding bridges, groud handling stuff and lots more things.
