According to information on following link, third aircraft of Air Indus is Jordan Aviation Boeing 737-322 (last known registration JY-JAO) built in 1990.
I think Air Indus will have to get this Boeing 737 registered in Pakistan because as far as I know under Pakistan's national aviation policy a Pakistani airline should have at least three aircraft registered in Pakistan for starting scheduled passenger flights.
Following photo by Aroosh Naqvi shows JY-JAO taking rest at Karachi Airport.
The livery is very 1970s, and the motif on the tail reminds me of Aero Asia.
I wonder Indus only took two ex Air Nigeria 737-300s, while they had eight in storage, and took a much older 737 from Jordan Aviation. Strange, they dont want standardized equipment.
Very much like Aero Asia, Bhoja Air, or Shaheen of the past.
rite.cheap liveries like on bhoja. not attractive.
even coach paint job better!
i guess they ll do like bhoja.... keep the third aircraft (jordan aviation) only to keep the air op cert valid.
it will be on the ground.
2 aircrafts sufficient for launch
Air Indus official website page on following link confirms induction of Jordan Aviation Boeing 737-300 (airframe construction number 24672) as airline's third Boeing 737-300 aircraft to meet the requirement of at least three airworthy aircraft registered in Pakistan to start scheduled passenger flights under Pakistan't national aviation policy.
Jordan Aviation Boeing 737-322 (ex-JY-JAO) has been registered in Pakistan as AP-BLE to serve Air Indus.
So, the first three aircraft in Air Indus fleet are:
